In April 2013, was opened to the public "Workshop of Anikushin" only in Petersburg sculpture studio for making models of monuments in full size. This particular architectural space with professional equipment.
The former studio of the famous St. Petersburg sculptor of the twentieth century Mikhail Anikushin is a branch of the Museum of Urban Sculpture. When – there were born the famous monuments, and now everyone can get acquainted with the other side of life monuments that are normally hidden from mere spectator – from the first sketch on paper before sending the finished model to the factory for casting in bronze. The workshop is in Vyazemskoye garden on the Petrograd side. The building was built specifically for the sculptor in 1969 by the architect F. Hepner.
