Center of art and music of the library of Mayakovsky

BIKTSIM is a library center of the new format. Its activities are aimed at informing visitors about trends in contemporary art and help in the educational process related to art. In nota – musical Fund is presented the works of Russian and foreign composers, folklore, vocal, instrumental, stage, vocal-symphonic and sacred music. A large collection of vocal scores of Russian and foreign composers. Book musical and the collection reflects the creativity of Russian and foreign composers, includes a reference Fund: musical encyclopedias, dictionaries, information and bibliographies, biographies of musicians, personalities of musical figures. The exhibition activity of BIKTSIM is focused mainly on work with young authors. The center regularly hosts the exhibitions of painting, photography, graphics, sculpture, decorative-applied art. Young authors get the opportunity to present their work at personal exhibitions, with the supporting of curators. In addition,BIKTSIM is working with a lot of students and graduates of art schools, providing them with organizational and information supporting. An important place in the exposition occupy the politics of the exhibition of famous authors, which provides a steady interest to the exhibition spaces.

Bikcim is involved in educational activities in the field of art and music, organizes lectures, seminars, concerts, performances and film screenings, Special attention is paid to work with young people.

In addition to traditional concerts, there are cycles of audio performances, promotions and seminars, allowing to get acquainted with the Russian and foreign musical culture.
