Russian Museum introduces Mexicans with domestic avant – garde.
In the Palace of fine arts in Mexico 22.10.2015 is opened a unique exhibition of Russian artists – avant – gardists. The exhibition is dedicated to the 125-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Russia. At the exhibition you can see about 600 works of famous representatives of Russian avant-garde – Natalia Goncharova, Alexander Rodchenko, Vladimir Tatlin and many other masters of several dozen Russian museums, including the Hermitage and the Tretyakov gallery.
The Russian Museum is presented the exhibition of 19 paintings and decorative arts. Among them,there are a genuine masterpieces of the avant-garde: "Suprematism" (1928 – 1929) and "Portrait of N. N. Panina" (1933) by Kazimir Malevich, "Formula of spring" (1927 – 1929) Pavel Filonov, works by Nikolai Suetin, Victor Palmov, Konstantin Medunetsky.
An exhibition in Mexico city is only one of the projects of the Russian Museum, actively developing cooperation with the countries of North and Central America. In the near future will be opened a branch of the Russian Museum in Havana: all the arrangements have already been agreed with the Cuban side, and a dedicated building for the branch in the centre of the capital.
