The project of Vasilissa Savrasova come into contact with these kinds of contemporary art, media art and installation. The object of the study is the relationship of form and content, which is constantly transformed. Some meanings to become visible and be in the world, should take shape – this is especially important for art. Exceptions are possible in the form of insight – insights, visions, prophecies – the entire spectrum of religious and mystical practices. Common to postmodern tactics and strategies waiver of claims form and waiver of style, because the form is always associated with style. Postmodernism asserts the poly stylistic.
Vasilissa Savrasova actualizes the conceptual apparatus of Plato and his world of ideas, values, grades, which are materialized in various forms. Savrasova argues, that she is followed to Plato, transient nature of the form and timeless content. So her videowork occurs continuous play of light, shadows and glare on the water slides over the surface. Plato argued that the real world is a shadow of ideas, and art is the shadow of shadows. The artist works with the aesthetics of Plato to bypass the material world directly with ideas, which are not physical, and media form. There is no form of mimesis, it is almost imperceptible, but there is a mimesis of the content, expressed on vague sense, audiovisual level, the level of ideas and eternal meanings. This mimesis eternal content, which always opposes any form as something established and defined.
