We invite You to the museum of history of photography 09.12.2014 to the exhibition of Sergey Podgorkov "Need to see"
The exhibition will be opened for visitors from 09.12.2014 – 04.02.2015 year.
To see and remember. The need for this lies in every man from birth. For some people, this need was given by nature with advantage. The photographers are one of those people. I noticed that in any art of man, the viewer, the artist, are only interested in the man himself. Even on a completely deserted landscape, the viewer intuitively tries to find a man. And if on the canvas, on a sheet of photographic paper, the image is at least a remote, lonely figures not at all, the viewer unconsciously including imagination, begins to feel the one who saw this desert landscape. Anyone in the real projection on canvas no, but whose presence is felt. The presence of the author. Your picture I position as very simple. Saw off. The desire to retain and remember what they saw as indispensable, like the camera, the tool of the photographer.
In this small exhibition features the photos, which have taken in different years in the bromine – silver technology with subsequent copyright stamp. Not excluding all the benefits of modern digital world, I find myself the need to preserve and use in my work the creative and technical methods of the great predecessors, who has preserved for us visual images of his era. One example of immortality, this is when your eyes, people in a hundred, or more years, will see what we see, it is in this moment."
