Who is this man with an ax, who took to the streets of St. Petersburg? Why old moneylender was close to Shakespeare's heroes? And why Pushkin stand arm in arm with Krylov, back of arms of which peeps Lermontov? Answers to these questions know the organizers of grand holiday – the Day of Dostoevsky, which is held annually in St. Petersburg in early July.
The date on which Raskolnikov went out of his closet, is especially revered in literary – theatrical circles of Petersburg – this day pay tribute to the great writer. On the eve of the sixth day of Dostoevsky Museum opens photo exhibition dedicated to the fifth holiday. The subjects of the last year – "comic feast." On his celebration the writer invited writers, whose birthday jubilee fell in 2014 – Lermontov (200 years), Pushkin (215 years), Shakespeare (450 years), George Sand (210 years). What came out of it – the audience will judge.
The exhibition includes photographs of street performance "Dostoevsky Masquerade," which put at Forge Lane choreographer Vladimir Barnabas – winner of the "Golden Mask". The director of performance is A. Bergman, starring – leading actors of the theaters of St. Petersburg.
