St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich family located on Vasilevsky Island, in an old mansion Academician M. P. Botkin, which was frequently N. K. Roerich. Basis memorial exhibition of the Museum – Institute of heritage stored niece E. I. Roerich Lyudmila Stepanovna Mitusova and her family. For several years the museum owners of private collections donated to the museum a number of art and other exhibits.
Today, its funds total about 15,000 items, including personal belongings, manuscripts, paintings, decorative arts, archaeological finds, photos, and other cultural treasures, reflecting the broader context of life and work of the Roerich family.
The very name of the Museum-Institute of the Roerich family says that he conceived not only as a museum in the traditional sense, but also as a research center for the study of heritage of our great compatriots.
To its visitors Museum Institute offers:

Museum and Institute conducts:
Every third Friday of the month culture;
Seminar Petersburg Roerich collection;
Every fourth Sunday of the month "Discovery Club";
Saturday "Mitusovskie evenings" meetings "Poets and Poetry", concerts of classical and oriental music under "Musical meetings";
Artistic and educational exhibits flagship facsimile reproductions of works of Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich, as well as masterpieces of world art at various fairgrounds.

Cleaning Day: Last Thursday of each month at the Museum-Institute of the Roerich family. The museum is closed to visitors.
