Narvsky Triumphal Gateinitially wooden, built in 1814 to meet the Russian Guard returning from Paris after the military campaign of 1812 – 1814 period.
In 1834, by architect Stasov created monumental gate with a sculpture made by V. Demuth – Malinovsky, S. Pimenov, P. Klodt, M. Krylov, N. Tokarev , I. Leppe. Twelvecolumns arch surmounted by the Chariot of Glory with six horses. On the attic of the gate – are eight winged genii of Glory and Victory at the foot – four statues of Russian warriors.
