V.J.Garikov's creative range is extraordinary wide.
In subject monumental compositions, as well as in a landscape it reveals especially brightly. The artist always comes to poetic generalizations, transfers the emotional atmosphere, having subordinated to it the narrative factors which were an integral part of the widespread style concept of an era. At all works of the master is the press of special personal perception .

In the international festival Noorderlicht International Photofestival 2013 which will take place in the Dutch city of Groningen, the photographer of Fotodepartament gallery Julia Borisova will take part. On the occasion of the 20-year anniversary of Noorderlicht invited 20 photoorganizations from all over the world to present one author, whose creativity illustrates the events in photocommunity of the region.
"Photedepartament" will submit Julia Borisova's project "Distant coast" in which landscape pictures with archival photos and portraits of people are bound. It is story how the past is crossed with space of the present allocated with memory. The project was shot in towns that were flooded during the construction of the Rybinsk and Uglich hydro . A lot of people refused to leave their homes and killed along with hundreds of villages , churches and monasteries."The distant coast", existing in the form of the book,and will be presented in a photoexposition format.
The festival will go from September 1 to October 13. The grnd opening will take place on August 31.
