Scientific Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, Museum Apartment I.I. Brodsky invite to the exhibition Semen Abramovich Flery "13 favorites" from 23 December 2013 to 5 January 2014.
Contemporary artist Semyon Abramovich Flery was born on February 23, 1972 in Russia. As a self-taught artist, he learned knowledge about drawing from communicating with artists, books about painting and, of course, studying the details of works of art in museums of Russia and the world. Artist, constantly improving his technique from 2007 to 2012 he took private lessons in drawing and painting the existing teachers of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Thanks to the occasion and undoubted talent, Semyon Abramovich Flery discovered his artist and jeweler in 2006. Solving the task of creating jewelry delights in our own workshop, spare time he devoted transferring of local color on the canvas. Currently, the artist works in the field of easel paintings, for the soul creates small conceptual paintings, promotes the idea of prosperity for the Creator.
The basis of artistic creativity Flery put national self-awareness and a technique for visualization of Jewish traditions woven into the fabric of Russian culture. Images and characters like paintings invite us to look at familiar things and events, fresh, Jewish look.
National consciousness so completely possessed soul and mind of the artist, he brings elements of Jewish interpretation even in the image of Christian subjects, reinterpreting mythology in line with Russian history.
Isaac Levitan, Marc Chagall, Isaac Brodsky, all of which are already classics of Russian painting, truly celebrates the beauty of Russia, reflecting the spirit of his time. In this sense, Semyon Abramovich Flery in his work also tends to realism, drawing on extensive experience of Russian school of painting is the last three hundred years. Be it a child or a simple smear fleytsem piece of work with a palette knife, the artist's conception always realized under the motto: «PER SPIRITUS AD PERFECTUM».
Recently in Moscow exhibition of the artist was asked why his paintings often has a lot of rich red and green. To which Semen gave explanations: – "Since the Romanovs these two colors were closely associated with the different symbols of luxury, beauty and power in Russia. Stonecutters worked with green jade, and set into gold jewelers red purpurin, Orlets and other precious stones. In a sense, this is my original attempt to extrapolate the local flavor by means of painting. "
During the last fourteen years under the direction of Semen Abramovich in his stone-cutting workshop were created hundreds of sketches of jewelry products and applied with a Russian accent. But the last seven years, such sketches artist develops, guided known principle – "If you want to do something good, do it yourself." Not surprisingly, the beauty with jewelry palette tables flows smoothly onto the prepared canvas.
